On a hiking trip to the Cairngorms National Park in the eastern Highlands of Scotland last spring, I was staying at the Aviemore Youth Hostel and chanced to take a walk to the Craigellachie National Reserve behind the hostel one wet morning. It was simply magical as the soft drizzle radiate towards me like snow flakes through the sunrays. This particular scene, which I feel so touched and blessed to witness, gives me the feeling of a mother craddling her child. And indeed I felt like Mother Earth was caressing me with the startling beauty and drama of the warm sun emerging from clouds and peeking through the beautiful trees as I strolled in the blessed sprinkle and lovely shadow interplay created on the forest path, hence the title for the photograph. Scotland series. 2009.

A wanderer, artist, photographer, and sometimes writes stuff.. The pictures tell of my travels, my sentiments, my stories, my sightings, my wonder at the infinite possibilities of mother earth.. and of man. I hope they inspire one to head for the wilderness. And to experience the beauty of it all and make your own memories.
