Artist's Description
This picture was taken on a hiking trip to the Cairngorms National Park in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. I was staying at the Aviemore Youth Hostel and chanced to take a walk to the beautiful Craigellachie National Reserve behind the hostel one wet morning. The photograph was taken on the path back to the hostel. The sun was shining amidst the drizzle and I just love the curve of the path and its glistening reflections in the beautiful morning. The scene is an ode to my love for travelling and wandering to the unknowns, my yearning to go around the bend and see what lies yonder, and a celebration of all the little joys and surprises that I discover on these wonderful journeys, like this blessed morning in Aviemore.. Scotland series. 2009.
