Mousa Broch is an ancient iron age fort thought to have been constructed in 100 BC and is one of the best preserved pre-historic buildings in Europe. The feeling of isolation yet exhilaration was what I felt on my visit to the broch (or round tower) in Mousa, an uninhabited little island off the east coast of Mainland Shetland. It was also a meditative end to my beautiful journey to the Shetland archipelago off the northeast coast of Scotland. Scotland series. 2009.
