Description
This picture gives me exactly the feeling of the name that I gave it. It signifies the final link of a journey, as my visit to Mousa (or Mosey in old Norse for moss island) was at the end of my trip to Scotland and the Shetlands last spring. The uninhabited little island lies off the east coast of Mainland Shetland and is known for this broch (or round tower), an ancient iron age fort thought to have been constructed in 100 BC and is one of the best preserved pre-historic buildings in Europe. My journey in Scotland was a beautiful, exhilarating and immensely satisfying experience, just like this beautiful wooden path leading to the broch that epitomizes the wonderful penultimate leg to my Shetlands adventure. Scotland series. 2009.
